As 2021 comes to an end, either on New Year’s Eve or any time, we invite you to use our meditation from 2020 to take time to look to the new year as you listen to music played by Anne Krentz Organ as you view images of St. Luke’s. You may wish to choose readings and reflections that have meaning to you or to use this guide for scripture and reflective reading.
Thursdays at 12:00 p.m. via Zoom, beginning January 6. The focus of the Bible Study would remain the same: a study of the texts for the coming Sunday. Teaching and studying scripture is one of the great joys of Pastor Bouman’s ministry. Epiphany is a great time to grow in God’s Word! If you are need of a zoom invitation link, please contact Pastor Bouman.
If you love to read, you’ll want to join the Page Turners Book Club. They are gearing up for the new year with a brand new book for each month of the year.
Due to pandemic restrictions, the annual Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols will be held online again this year. Our musicians have created a wonderful program that you will not want to miss. Read more for the details.
You are invited to celebrate the Season of Christ’s Birth at St. Luke’s Church. Beginning November 28 through January 9. Check the schedule.
Shop the Good Gifts Fair Sunday, December 12 and 19 between the services. Your gift will honor your friend or family member and help a family break the cycle of hunger and poverty for good. Your friend needs a goat! The catalog also includes a well for clean water, vaccinations, school supplies, microloans, blankets and more. Come, choose your gift and shop the ELCA World Hunger Good Gifts Fair.
Bring your friends and family and join us outdoors for carols and cocoa around the bonfire on Sunday, December 19th at 4:15 p.m.
Last year, your generosity helped give over 200 kids at RefugeeOne a wonderful Christmas! St. Luke’s is partnering with RefugeeOne again this year. Last year was so successful, that we will be repeating what we did by providing monetary donations to give each child a gift. Our goal is to raise $25 per child; with that level of support, each child will receive a bag full of candy, one small item and a gift card.
Each of us has much to be thankful for this year. Please join the community in giving thanks in person or online.
