Good Friday Community Service

April 18 at 12:00 noon: Sponsored by the Park Ridge Ministerial Association, held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Park Ridge, will feature the Montag Ensemble playing The Seven Last Words of Christ by Franz Joseph Haydn. Spoken reflections will be provided by members of the Park Ridge Ministerial Association. This is a unique opportunity for anyone living or working in the area to worship at a midday service on one of the most solemn days in the Christian church year. We are excited to announce that St Luke’s Social Ministry will be supporting the Maine Township Food Pantry again this year during the Lenten season. This annual event has been a wonderful opportunity to help feed our local neighbors in the Maine Township Northwest Suburbs. The Food Pantry feeds over 300 families each month and the need increases every month.

Lent & Holy Week Schedule

Our Lenten Journey 2025 begins with Ash Wednesday on March 5 and culminates with the Festival of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday, April 20 Please, join us on this sacred journey for one or all of these services in remembrance of Christ’s Passion.

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday on March 5 marks the beginning of Lent, which is a season of preparation to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. Several opportunities for worship and fellowship are offered. All are welcome.

12:00 p.m. service with Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion, followed by a soup luncheon.

7:00 p.m. service with Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion, preceded by a soup supper at 6:00 p.m..

Collaborative Hymn Festival

St. Luke’s choir will participate in a Hymn Festival along with singers from Edison Park Lutheran Church, Epiphany Lutheran Church in Elmhurst, St. John Lutheran Church in Sycamore, and host church St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Park Ridge, on Sunday, February 16, at 4:00 p.m. Come and add your voices to the congregation at this joyful collaborative event! St. Andrew’s is located at 260 N. Northwest Highway in Park Ridge.
