Season of Christ’s Birth

ADVENT

he season of advent lifts up the anticipation of the coming of the light into the world amidst great despair and darkness. The color to mark this season is blue to represent the color of the sky when the first ray of light touches the night sky creating a deep blue

First Sunday of Advent, November 28: Worship in the Sanctuary at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m.  The online worship service will be available after 5:00 p.m. the Saturday before. Luke 21:25-36

Second Sunday of Advent, December 5: Worship in the Sanctuary at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m.  The online worship service will be available after 5:00 p.m. the Saturday before.

Third Sunday of Advent, December 12: Worship in the Sanctuary at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m.  The online worship service will be available after 5:00 p.m. the Saturday before.

Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols, December 12: Online service will be available after 4:00 p.m. and throughout the rest of the season.

Fourth Sunday of Advent, December 19: Worship in the Sanctuary at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m.  The online worship service will be available after 5:00 p.m. the Saturday before.

Festival of Carols, December 19: Outdoor Celebration at 4:15 p.m. Gather outside with bonfires, cocoa, singing, and hearing the Christmas story. Dress warmly, bring blankets and chairs if you would like. All are welcome!

CHRISTMAS

In the second chapter of the Gospel of Luke we find our favorite stories of Christ’s birth.

Christmas Eve, December 24: Worship in the Sanctuary at 4:00 (includes children’s message) and 11:00 p.m.

Christmas Day, December 25: Worship in the Sanctuary at 10:00 a.m.

First Sunday of Christmas, December 26: Service of Lessons and Carols in the Sanctuary at 10:00 a.m.

New Year’s Eve Meditation, December 31: Online service is available after noon on December 31.

EPIPHANY

Christ is revealed to the wise men from the East who seek him and to King Herod who fears him.

Epiphany (observed), January 2, 2022: Worship in the Sanctuary at 10:00 a.m. Online service available after 5:00 p.m. the Saturday before.
