Saint Peter with the Keys of his Office “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19 Christ gives Peter the keys of the kingdom, the authority to lead the church. (L) Birth of Jesus. “And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.” Luke 2

(L) Jesus calling Peter from his fishing to follow him. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.” Matthew 4:18-22

(R) Crucifixion of Christ. Pilate also had an inscription written and put on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” John 19:16-37
