Our Lenten Journey 2024 begins with Ash Wednesday on February 14 and culminates with the Festival of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday, March 31. Please, join us on this sacred journey for one or all of these services in remembrance of Christ’s Passion. You are Welcome.
Lent and Holy Week Schedule
Ash Wednesday February 14
11:00 a.m. service with Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion, followed by a soup luncheon.
7:00 p.m. service with Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion, preceded by a soup supper at 6:00 p.m..
Mid-Week Services of Song, Reflection, Prayer

Mid-Week Evening Service of Song, Reflection and Prayer using Holden Evening Prayer, only March 6 at 7:00 p.m., using Holden Evening Prayer.
Holy Week (March 24-31)
Palm Sunday, March 24 Services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.: Procession of Palms, Passion Reading, and Holy Communion
Maundy Thursday, March 28 Services at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.: Foot Washing and Holy Communion (First Communion for children)
Good Friday, March 29 at 12:00 noon: Sponsored by the Park Ridge Ministerial Association, held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Park Ridge, will feature the Montag Ensemble playing The Seven Last Words of Christ by Franz Joseph Haydn. Spoken reflections will be provided by members of the Park Ridge Ministerial Association. This is a unique opportunity for anyone living or working in the area to worship at a midday service on one of the most solemn days in the Christian church year. At 7:00 p.m. a service using the Passion According to St. John.
Easter Vigil, March 30 at 7:00 p.m: Lighting the New Fire and hearing the Old Testament stories of Salvation and celebrating the Resurrection of Our Lord.
Easter Sunday, March 31 at 8 AM – Meditative, reflective service with Holy Communion around the altar.
Join us for fellowship and delicious treats in Henderson Hall on Easter Sunday, in between the Easter Services.
10:15 AM – Full Festival Liturgy of Holy Communion with choir and brass.
After the 10:15 a.m. Service, the fellowship with coffee and treats will continue in the Atrium.
